How to Obtain a Car Accident Report in Washington State

There are three primary methods to obtain an accident report in Washington:

1. Online

You can request a copy of your collision report through the Washington Requests for Electronic Collision Reports (WRECR) system. To do so:

Visit the WRECR website
Search for your report using your name and the date of the collision or the collision report number
Pay the $10.50 fee to download the report

Please note that it may take several days after the collision for the report to become available online.

2. By Mail

To request a report by mail:

Complete the Request for Copy of Collision Report Form
Include a check or money order for $10.50 payable to the Washington State Patrol
Mail the form and payment to:
